Recognizes a senior residing in Hamilton who has made an outstanding voluntary contribution to enrich the social, cultural or civic life of our community. The recipient selected for this award will be recognized at a ceremony in June, and will receive an official framed certificate signed by the Lieutenant Governor 905-689-7880

Flamborough Seniors Centre

The Centre offers programming 5 days a week with a variety of social, recreational and learning opportunities that will appeal to many different individuals. The programming is a partnership between the City of Hamilton and Flamborough Information and Community Services.  We look forward to growing with the community and providing a central place where seniors can come and gather socially; enjoy new and old friendships; learn new skills; keep fit and have opportunities to enrich their daily lives. Stitch’ N Chatter

St James United Church, 306 Parkside Dr. Tuesday mornings 10 am-12 noon September – mid June. Come and enjoy fellowship and new skills as we learn from each other. Bring your knitting, crocheting, sewing, embroidery, quilting, smocking, etc or come and learn from others. Baking, pie crust making, computer skills, cooking skills are all available to learn. No cost and ALL ages are welcome.

There is a bus from Flamborough to a Burlington  mall  every other Tuesday.  The cost is $6 for a return trip.

S.T.E.P.S (Specialized Training Exercise and Participation Services)

A fun and challenging exercise class offered every Monday morning from 9:30-10:30 am at the STEPS Gym located in the Notre Dame Building, 1921 Snake Road, Waterdown.  This class focuses on balance and strength training.  Its goal is to strengthen you so you are able to continue doing the things you love to do!
Also available are age-friendly, medically oriented personal training sessions. Come spend time in our sun-filled non-intimidating STEPS studio filled with specialized exercise equipment. We are the place to turn when you want to improve your state of health but don’t know where to begin.  As trained and registered health professionals, we make your safety and well-being top priority.  We also make your exercise experience fun and effective!  Contact STEPS 905-906-6774.

2017 Wentworth District #22 Senior Games

Invites citizens 55 years or over to participate in recreational activities and sports within the areas of Ancaster, Dundas, Flamborough, Glanbrook and Stoney Creek.  Summer games are in May. Enjoy the participation and some light competition in the following activities: Contract Bridge, Cribbage, Duplicate Bridge, Bid Euchre-Doubles, Shuffleboard, Euchre, 3K Prediction Walk, Darts,  Swimming, Golf, 5 Pin Bowling, Bid Euchre-Triples, Lawn Bowling, 10K Prediction Cycling and Nordic Prediction Walking, and two new events, Nordic Walking and Pickleball.
